At Atlantic AirVenture Transition Year students receive an exciting introduction to the spectrum of careers within the aviation industry. The aim of this programme is to give students an understanding of the career and study options available and to highlight the industry’s demand for skilled professionals across the spectrum over the next 20 years.
The 4 hr TY Aviation Field Trip is an excellent opportunity for students who are thinking about their future career’s, to hear the first hand experiences of a cross section of aerospace professionals, helping them to see where they can fit in to this exciting, diverse and challenging environment.
As part of the experience, everyone gets a chance to test their skill with a fun simulated flying lesson, and to round off the day students have an interactive guided tour of the Aviation Museum, to see a full scale Boeing 737 NG Flight Simulator, sit into Cessna aircraft, and get up close to the museums collection of Aircraft, Cockpits, Jet Engines and lots more. It’s an educational and fun day out that is enjoyed by both the girls and boys.
